DIGGING POWER AND MOBILITY

With its compact size and ability to easily travel to jobsites, the DX140W-7 brings digging power to the most challenging jobs — on roadways and bridges and in urban areas. Superior hydraulics deliver the digging force you need to move tough material. Momentarily amplify hydraulic power using the one-touch power boost.

Easily configure the machine with a front dozer blade and independent rear outriggers or with 4 independent outriggers. Leveling, backfilling material with the dozer blade, or stabilizing the machine during digging applications is made easier. When outriggers are down, digging performance is comparable to an excavator with tracks.

TECHNOLOGIES IMPROVE FUEL EFFICIENCY

Several smart technologies help maximize performance and fuel efficiency — including the exclusive Smart Power Control (SPC) and Electronic Power Optimizing System (EPOS). The DX140W-7 also includes four selectable power modes, including an Economy mode that reduces fuel consumption for low-demand applications. An engine auto shutdown feature saves fuel and helps reduce warranty hours. The auto idle feature saves fuel while reducing noise and improving jobsite communication. The standard DEVELON Fleet Management system monitors the excavator’s health and maintenance schedule to help keep it running at peak performance.

A FOCUS ON OPERATOR COMFORT

The -7 Series wheel excavator lineup is designed to help attract and keep top operators — and provides the controls and systems they need to become their best. Long days are more productive thanks to automotive-style heating and air conditioning, improved floorspace and excellent visibility from the spacious cab. A rearview camera is standard, and an optional heated/cooled seat is available. Also, standard is the multilingual DEVELON Smart Touch display and an easy-to-use joystick that offers low-effort control to help reduce operator fatigue when working with hydraulic attachments.

ENGINEERED FOR THE MOST CHALLENGING WORK

When driving on uneven road surfaces, the Optional Load Isolation System automatically engages at 3.1 mph (5 Km/h) to reduce the bouncing of the machine and its attachments. The standard Auto Hold brake system automatically engages the digging brake to improve operator comfort and machine productivity. Use the optional Trailer Ready feature to pull a 5- to 10-ton trailer to improve machine versatility. The fine swing function helps with operator job accuracy by reducing the shock from swing starts and stops. Machine versatility is improved with the new tilt-rotator working mode and a priority valve for using mulchers/grass cutters.
