Peterson Pacific Corporation was established in 1981 by Neil Peterson as an Oregon Corporation in Eugene, OR. Peterson revolutionized the pulp and paper industry with the release of his first machines: a portable chain flail delimber-debarker and a portable whole tree chipper. Continuing to focus on its commitment to creating superior wood grinding equipment led Peterson to become an industry leader. In 2007, Peterson was acquired by Astec Industries, Inc., a global leader in numerous industries.
