New England Rental Policy

Rental Purchase Options

Our fleet is always available for purchase. Please inquire with us about rental purchase programs on your unit.

Usage

Contracts include usage of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week and 160 hours per month or whichever comes first. Any overage is billable to Lessee.

Billing Cycle

All rentals bill every 28 days.

Pick Up

Pick up is not automatic and is billable until the machine is returned to an Alta location.

Fuel

Fuel is billable at $10 per gallon. DEF is billable at $30 per 2.5 gallon jug.

Cleaning Charges

Lessee agrees to pay a cleaning charge for rental equipment requiring extensive cleaning (2 hours or more) upon return with a minimum fee of $295.

Tire Repair or Replacement

Lessee acknowledges that repair and replacement of tires are not included in the rental rate. Lessee agrees to pay for the repair or replacement of any tires returned to the Lessor in a damaged condition, regardless of the cause of the damage, except for reasonable wear and tear. Lessee is solely responsible for flat tires on rentals. Any service call dispatched for tire repair is billable to the Lessee.

Ground Engaging Items

Any ground engaging components of rental equipment are billable to Lessee. This includes, but is not limited to: teeth, buckets, cutting edge, excessive tire wear and hammer point wear/replacement.

Insurance

  1. The insurance certificate should list Alta Construction Equipment New England LLC 114 Hall Street Concord, NH 03301 as the certificate holder, additionally insured and loss payee. A blanket loss payee endorsement is not acceptable. Alta Equipment must be endorsed as loss payee.
  2. Proof of Commercial General Liability with each occurrence limit of $1,000,000 or more.
  3. We do ask for an Equipment Floater, Physical Damage Coverage, or Inland Marine Policy for leased/rented equipment with a deductible of $1,000 or less.
    1. The verbiage for equipment coverage can read “ any/all leased or rented equipment” to avoid alterations throughout the year. If it does not, it must list the machine specific information. (year, make, model, serial number)

Rental Protection

The cost of this coverage is 18% of the rental rate for the entirety of the rental term. The Rental Protection Plan is not a substitute for General Liability Coverage. General Liability Coverage is required on ALL rentals.
